Raymond Lee "Ray Ray" Knox, Jr. was born in Nashville, TN on March 13, 1984 to Paulette "Polly" Mount and the late Raymond Lee Knox, Sr. Growing up in Woodbury he was the kind of person that made friends quickly. As a child he loved playing in the neighborhood with his friends, riding his bike and just having a good time. He was educated at Woodbury Grammar School, Cannon County High School and later Riverdale High School. Ray Ray enjoyed playing sports in school especially basketball and football. As he got older he loved watching the Pittsburg Steelers play football. Ray Ray loved being around his friends and family. He always wanted to make everyone smile. His personality allowed him to get to know a lot of people. He could stay up all night just talking with his friends. Ray Ray had a kind heart and would help anybody. Ray Ray had a dog that he loved to be around Smokey. He had kind of a trade mark straw hat he liked to wear. He loved to ride motorcycles and four wheelers and to go fishing. In recent years he and his Uncle Charles became even closer as they worked together in Brothers Bail Bond Company. Ray enjoyed being a bounty hunter. His true love was for his family. He always made sure to take care of his kids and mother. He made all the time he could to take part in the kids sports, school events and birthdays. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Lee Knox, Sr., an infant daughter and an uncle, Errol Lyons. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted mother, Paulette "Polly" Mount of Woodbury; son, Anton DuPree Knox; daughters, Baily Marie Knox, Kristen Marie Knox and Allysa "Boo Boo" Davenport; paternal grandmother, Addie L. Lyons of Murfreesboro; sisters, Teneka (Curtis) McCoullough and Dorothy Jean Rucker both of Murfreesboro; aunts and devoted uncle, Charles Mount of Woodbury, aunts and uncles, Freddie D. Lyons, Jr., Pierre (Valerie) Lyons, Perry (Sandra) Lyons, Alecia (Lynn) Lyons-Verge, all of Murfreesboro, Ester (Granelle) McShepard of Nashville; devoted friend, David Wilson; also a host of cousins and friends. Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 from 10 AM until 1 PM at Grace Assembly of God, 2999 John Bragg Hwy. with funeral services to follow at the church.
