Johnny Whittemore

Mr. Johnny Whittemore, 53, died December 6, 2012 after an extended illness. He was born January 19, 1959 in Cannon County. His parents were the late Eldred Whittemore and Della Louise (Gann) Whittemore. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Ronnie Whittemore and David Whittemore. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Wendy (Youngblood) Whittemore of Woodbury; sons, Johnny Brian Whittemore of Woodbury, Kyle Whittemore and fiance, Kristina of Dayton, TN and Justin Odom of Woodbury; a daughter, Emily Whittemore and fiance Jose Mendoza of Woodbury; brothers, James Whittemore of Colorado, Eddie Whittemore of Crossville, step-brothers, Robert "Beano" Tischer, Frankie Tischer, Gary Tischer and Charles Tischer; step-sisters, Jessica Tischer and Dakota Tischer; two grandchildren Maleah Odom and Montana Davis; he was expecting his third grandchild, Drayden. Mr. Whittemore was known to be a jack of all trades and a handyman. He was a former employee of Samsonite in Murfreesboro. He told jokes to keep his family and friends laughing. He enjoyed fishing and loved being with his kids and grandkids. Teaching them how to play basketball and football. Private services were held at Smith Funeral Home.
