Mr. Bobby Bynum, 75, of Woodbury died on January 3, 2013. He was born in Bradyville on May 2, 1937. His parents were the late Monroe Bynum and Minnie Lou (Mears) Bynum. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, James D. Bynum, Grady Bynum, Clifton Howard Bynum and Doc Bynum; a sister, Ruth Reynolds; a daughter, Deborah Perry and a great grandson, Nicholas Koss. He is survived by his wife of fifty five years, Betty (Bedwell) Bynum of Woodbury; five sons, Randy Bynum, Barry & Paige Bynum, Ricky & Kimberly Bynum, Michael & Tracy Bynum and David & Brittany Bynum all of Cannon County; two daughters, Kathy Thompson of Woodbury and Margie & Roy Mears of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Helen Campbell of Murfreesboro and Naomi & George Knox of Murfreesboro; sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mr. Bynum was a member of the Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the City of Woodbury where he worked for over 42 years; working last in the Filter Plant. He earned a degree to become a locksmith and was well known all over Cannon County and the area as one of the best. Mr. Bynum was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying. Another of his favorite things to do was working on his classic Dogde Ram truck. Spending many hours restoring and cleaning it. He loved to be with his family, joking with them and giving them nicknames. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Firday, January 4, 2013 from 1-8 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Jonathan Womack and Greg Mitchell will officiate. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
