Virginia Ruth (Prater) Blair

Mrs. Virginia Ruth (Prater) Blair, 75, of McMinnville died on January 8, 2013. She was born in McMinnville, TN on June 15, 1937. She was preceded in death by her father, James C. Prater; a daughter, Sarah Jane Miller and a son, Jerry Stephen Blair. She is survived by her mother, Mary Jane (Ferrell) Prater of McMinnville; son, Bobby Carlton Blair of Land Between The Lakes; brother, Melvin & June Prater of McMinnville; sisters, Pauline Neal of McMinnville and Wilma Ware of Rock Island; grandson, Jeremy & Stephanie Miller and great grandchildren, Allie and Keaton Miller of McMinnville. Mrs. Blair was a good Christian lady that loved the Lord. She was a sempstress with clothing manufacturers in years past. Making white oak baskets was a favorite pass time. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a loving mother, daughter and sister. Mrs. Blair's request was to donate her body to science to help others. There are no public services planned at this time.
