Mr. Thomas A. Lancaster, Jr., 85, formerly of Woodbury died February 28, 2013 at his home. He was born in Nashville, TN on July 22, 1927. His parents were the late Thomas A. Lancaster, Sr. and Alice (Terry) Lancaster. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eva (Howell) Lancaster; sons, Tom Lancaster, III of Oak Ridge and Esther Lancaster, Jim & Sarah Lancaster of Murfreesboro; daughter, Sandy Seiffert of Murfreesboro; brother, James Terry Lancaster of Chattanooga; grandsons, Tom & Michelle Lancaster, IV of Cookeville, Daniel & Jobi Lancaster of Kingston, Kurt & Rosanna Lancaster of Murfreesboro and Anthony Lancaster of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren, Trent Lancaster, Anna Lancaster, Tyler Lancaster and Blake Lancaster; nephew, Mike Lancaster and niece, Terry Beth Lancaster. Mr. Lancaster and his wife moved to Murfreesboro in 2003. He was a longtime resident of Woodbury and member of the Woodbury Church of Christ while he lived in Woodbury. After moving to Murfreesboro he became a member of the East Main Church of Christ. He worked as an agent to set up operations for local garment factories before he retired. He and his wife loved to travel after he retired. He enjoyed playing checkers and chess with friends. Another favorite hobby was reading. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 2-8 PM. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11 AM at Riverside Cemetery. Herb Alsup will officiate.
