Mrs. Wanda Walden, 71, of Woodbury died March 16, 2013. She was born on February 27, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her parents were the late Jack and Dessie Bailey. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Suzette Butts and her son, Victor Butts. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lee Walden of Woodbury; daughter, Teresa Ring of Lewisburg, TN; six grandchildren that she raised like her own children, Angel & Frank Warnack, Jennifer & Samuel Alford, Chase McLaughlin, Jessica Taylor, Katherine Butts all of Woodbury and Amy Miller of Nashville; also, nine great grandchildren and she was expecting her tenth great grandchild. Mrs. Walden was a member of the Woodbury Pentecostal Church. Before moving to Woodbury in the early 1990's she owned and operated several different businesses. She was a hard worker and found time to earn her Ph. D in Psychology. She was Director of Environmental Services at the V.A. in Murfreesboro for several years. Being creative she liked to fix things around the house and enjoyed sewing. Her greatest love of all was her family. The grandchildren were special to her and she gave them whatever they wanted. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 4-6 PM. A memorial service will follow in the Smith Funeral Home chapel with Clayton Neal officiating.
