Ms. Linda Davis, 73, of London, Kentucky died November 5, 2013. She was born in Asheville, North Carolina on September 18, 1940. Her parents were the late John Welch Crawford and Alma Plemmons Crawford. She was also preceded in death by a son, James "Jimmy" Davis and a daughter, Lynn Cathers. She is survived by a son, Craig W. Davis of London, KY; daughter, Lisa (Rory) George of Smithville; sisters, Sonja Rackes and special sister, Pat Hutchinson; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Leigh (George) Walls, Linda Marie Davis, Melissa Miracle, Stephanie (George) Stoetzel, Nici Davis, Floyd (D.J.) Miracle, Devren Davis, Shelly Davis, John Davis, Tawni Davis and three great grandchildren, Sierra Leigh Stoetzel, Jenna Lawren M'Lynn Walls, Madison Raye Stoetzel. Ms. Davis lived most of her life in Kentucky. She was a member of the Swiss Colony Baptist Church in London, KY. She enjoyed vegetable gardening. Raising beef cattle was special to her. Working on her farm she helped deliver some of the calves that lost the mother in birth. One very special calf she named Welch. After developing some health problems she moved to Smithville to stay with her daughter. She kept a positive outlook on life even through her illness. The family will hold a celebration of life at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are requested to the American Cancer Society.
