Margaret Wagner

Mrs. Margaret L. (Kirby) Wagner, 88, of Woodbury died December 24, 2013. She was born in Clyde, Ohio on December 14, 1925. Her parents were the late William Kirby and Lillian (Streeter) Kirby. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Wagner, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her son, Thomas & Judy Wagner of Woodbury; daughter, Marilyn Young of Wilmington, OH; brother, Jerry & Pearl Kirby of Woodbury; four grandchildren, Christopher Wagner, Gregory Wagner, Pamela Stewart and David Young; three great grandchildren, Nathan, Jaden, and Samara Wagner. Mrs. Wagner was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Manchester and former member of Franklin Road Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She enjoyed taking part in activities and helping at the Cannon County Senior Center. Writing in her journal, sewing and taking trips with family and friends were also pastimes. She worked as a nurse's aide in years past. She enjoyed being around people and helping however she could. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 3-8 PM. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at 12 noon in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Greg Nash and Mike Norris will officiate. Interment will be in Coleman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cannon County Senior Center. Smith Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
