Mr. James Edward "Eddie" Freeman, 47, of Murfreesboro died March 1, 2014. He was born on Dec. 2, 1966 in Murfreesboro, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, James Donald "Don" Freeman. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Brewer Mayberry; son, Justin Freeman; daughter, Heather Freeman; sisters, Teresa Hines, Tammy (Stephen) Douglas, April Patterson, Pam Clark, Betty Cobb and Teresa (Robert) Henson; three grandsons, Brayden, Tanner and Jackson Freeman; special companion, Katrina Warrick all of Murfreesboro, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Eddie grew up in Murfreesboro, where he worked as a roofer. He was an artist who was gifted with the ability to draw. He was the only male of his sibilings and was very protective of his sisters growing up. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors, especially, fishing and swimming. Eddie was known to be hard working and had a heart of gold. He was the kind of person who was willing to give you the shirt off his back. He attended the Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 1-8 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 12 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Ronnie Dale Jenkins and J. R. Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in Cothran Cemetery in Bedford County. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to assist with funeral expenses.
