Terry B. Elrod

Mr. Terry B. Elrod, 54, of Woodbury died March 26, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born on July 2, 1959 in Woodbury , TN. His parents were the late Woodrow Elrod and Elavlette Dinwiddie. Also preceding him in death was a brother, Roger Elrod. Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Marie Elavlette Elrod and her fiance` Shawn Webster of Dowelltown, TN ; a sister and brother-in-law, Joye and David Hatfield of Woodbury; a granddaughter, Zoe Webster; also a niece, a nephew, and two great nieces and a great nephew. Mr. Elrod gew up the youngest of three children. He was raised in the Church of Christ and was very close with his sister. Terry graduated from Central High School in the Class of 1977. He worked at Jennings Motors for many years. After he left there he opened his own shop. Terry worked as a mechanic, restoring and detailing cars. He also bought, sold and traded cars. He liked to stay busy and wanted to make an honest dollar. He enjoyed being outdoors, going to the lake and fishing too. Terry was an easy going person and his little dog was his constant companion. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, March 28, 2014 from 3-8 PM. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2 PM in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Herb Alsup will officiate. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the Bible Camp Scholarship.
