Theresa Batey Bean

Mrs. Theresa (Bo) Batey Bean was born on March 29, 1956 in Flint, Michigan. She departed this life on October 7, 2014 at the age of 58. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Gladys Lyons Batey and husband, Don Bean. She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Page Verge of Antioch and Donovan Batey of Woodbury; daughters, Tisa Batey of Murfreesboro and Kenya Taylor of North Carolina; sisters, Nettie Batey and Martha Batey both of Woodbury; grandchildren, Nicole, Joseph, Destin, Victoria and Nathan; devoted uncle, James Batey; devoted friends, Trisha Horton, Bernice Young, Nancy Young and Shirley Chestnutt; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a member of the Church of God. Theresa was the type of person willing to give you the shirt from her back. She had a kind heart with a loving and generous spirit. Her humble attitude was a blessing to her family and friends. She was always willing to cook a special meal for her family or offer advise to help them in preparing a meal. One of her favorite pastimes was playing solitaire and scrabble on her phone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visitation with the family will be held at the Grace Assembly of God Church, 2999 John Bragg Hwy.
