Mr. Charley David Perry, 62, of Murfreesboro died on April 20, 2017. He was born in Murfreesboro, TN on February 7, 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Hampton Perry and Dana Mae Morris Perry; also by his wife, Deborah Bynum Perry; a daughter, Sherry Perry; a brother, Horace Perry; and a sister, Bandy Lokey. He is survived by his daughter, Stacie (Yon Yoeun) Perry of Nashville; brothers, James (Anita) Perry of Virginia and Gentry (Joann) Perry of Georgia; a sister, Dana Nipper of Smyrna; two grandchildren, Braylon Yoeun and Anya Perry, and by several nieces and nephews. Charley graduated from Riverdale High School in 1973. He later met and married Deborah. They were married for 28 years when she passed away. Charley loved talking to anyone he met. He never met a stranger. He liked watching old westerns and shooting pool with friends. He enjoyed going anywhere with his family and friends. He liked trading on guns, knives, and jewelry. He gave his grandson many of the knives he collected. He loved spending time with his grandkids. Visitation will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 2-5 pm. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 5 pm in the Smith Funeral Home chapel. Scottie Lokey will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations are requested through the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
