Mr. Fred R. Daniels, 69, of Woodbury passed away unexpectedly on July 20, 2017. He was born in Pearsall, Texas on April 1, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward William Daniels and Jean Elizabeth Lamborn Daniels, also by a daughter. Survivors include two sons and two daughters; two sisters, Jeanne “J.D.” (Alan) Ray of Pittsburg, Texas and Denise (Jerry) Stepanek of Murfreesboro; nieces and nephews, Lynnea Mejia, Laura Camp, Dusty Ray, Michelle Brown, and Michael Ray; as well as great nieces and nephews. Mr. Daniels moved to Woodbury about 12 years ago when his sister, JD and her husband still lived here. He enjoyed going down to Joe’s Place, now A. J. Diner, and sitting at the “Liars Table” telling some good stories. He had a great sense of humor, the combination of being an April Fools baby along with his father being a joker led him to want to kid around and have a laugh. He was a veteran of the U S Army serving during Vietnam. After leaving the military he worked as a carpenter and mechanic. He liked to work on lawn mowers, ride motorcycles, and have a good time. He was a member of Heartland Baptist Church in Walter Hill where his nephew, Dusty, is the pastor. His request was to be cremated and have his remains placed with his parents. The family will hold a service of memory and celebration of his life at Heartland Baptist Church, 306 E. Jefferson Pk. Walter Hill, TN, on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 10:45 am.
