Larry Edwin Myers, age 73, passed away at his home in Woodbury on February 22, 2018. He is survived by his father, Dr. Russell Myers, and sister, Linda Sanchez, along with several nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Christine Ruschmeyer. His mother, Audrey Hill Myers, predeceased him. In addition to his family, he leaves behind many devoted friends and very special caregivers. Larry Edwin Myers was born in Loma Linda, California and later moved with his parents to Woodbury where he attended grammar school. After high school in Collegedale, he attended George Peabody College and later received his law degree from the University of Tennessee. He worked in finance in Nashville before moving to Miami, Florida where he established FM Financial. Upon retirement he moved back to Cannon County. He was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed collecting craft and folk art from around the world. He was especially fond of Cannon County baskets and crafts. While in Miami, he was very active in the Elks Lodge and its charities. His work there earned him their Elk of the Year award. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
