Mr. James Edward Helton, 70, of Woodbury, Tennesse passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Tuesday, January 4, 1955. Preceding him in death were his parents, James Walter and Elizabeth Lee Sims Helton.
He is survived by his wife, Mila Helton; daughters, Kristina Murphy and Mandy Helton; brothers, Kevin Matthew Helton, John Phillip Helton, and Paul Anthony Helton; sisters, Theresa Anne Wills, Mary Beth Henderson, Rose Marie Blakenship; grandchildren, Kaiden Tiller, Korbin Knox Murphy, Angel Levario, Cody Levario, Ryan Beaver, and Brooklyn Ford; great grandchildren, Brayden Wedgeworth and Bryson Levario; step-children, Alexis Proffitt Nordgaard, Adam Proffitt, Vitalii Olecsiyovich Tilzo, and Albert Olecsiyovich Tilzo.
As a truck driver, it paid for James to have a mind that mulled things over. He enjoyed history and spent many hours on the road doing local short hauls, keeping himself entertained through learning. However, James didn't limit himself to just driving trucks. He had a passion for planes and flying and even flew with an instructor a few times. Seeing the world from the cabin and the cockpit kindled his love for the outdoors, and he transported himself away from all the noise of day-to-day life going hunting and fishing.
Mr. James is going to return to his Missouri home, and services will be held there at a later date.
